
Scriptwriter Salim Khan has condemned Naseeruddin Shah for his remarks that whiz Rajesh Khanna was in charge of bringing "average quality" in Bollywood in the '70s.
As of late, in a meeting, Shah said that '70s was the time when unremarkableness came in Hindi movies furthermore when Khanna joined the business, who as per him was a "poor on-screen character".
Calling Khanna the first and the last genius of his times, Salim said an on-screen character must be exceptional to administer the business and individuals' hearts for long.
"A performing artist passed my home and saw a major group sitting tight for Salman. He rang me to say he has not seen anything like this some time recently. I let him know I have seen greater group ordinarily outside Rajesh Khanna's home," Salim composed on Twitter.
"He was the first and the last hotshot of the thousand years. Anybody calling him an unremarkable on-screen character ought to realize that nobody can achieve these statures unless he has something phenomenal to offer," he proceeded.
In a clear reference to Shah, the "Sholay" author said, "Disappointment and sharpness are hard to cure however conveying the same for such quite a while is incredible."
Salim, 80, is the most recent big name to pummel Shah for his comments after stars like Khanna's little girl Twinkle and movie producer Karan Johar censured on-screen character.
After Twinkle Khanna and Karan Johar impacted Naseeruddin Shah for calling the late performing artist Rajesh Khanna — Twinkle's dad — a "restricted, poor on-screen character," Shah had apologized. India Today tweeted that the performing artist said, "I apologize to the individuals who were by and by outraged, my aim was not to assault him (Rajesh Khanna)"."
