Attackers Storm French Church and Take Hostages, Killing One

PARIS — Two men raged a congregation in northern France and took various prisoners — including a cleric, two nuns and a few admirers — Tuesday morning before the attackers were "killed" by the police, authorities said.



The leader's office in the town of St.- Étienne-du-Rouvray, a suburb of Rouen around 65 miles northwest of Paris, affirmed that a police operation was in progress and that the area around the congregation had been fixed off.

An authority at the Roman Catholic ward of Rouen affirmed that one individual at the congregation had been murdered however said that the congregation authorities were attempting to affirm the casualty's personality.

At 10:56 a.m., the National Police asked inhabitants by means of Twitter to avoid the scene and not enter the border around the congregation. At 11:15 a.m., the police said that the emergency was over, with two prisoner takers "killed" by the police, and that the police were all the while taking load of whether individuals were murdered or injured.
